Die Ergebnisse werden mit drei State-of-the-Art SfM-Workflows in Agisoft Metashape, Meshroom und COLMAP mit unterschiedlichen Parameterkonfigurationen verglichen. Anschließend wird dort die Rekonstruktion der Kamerapositionen mittels Bündelblockausgleichung durchgeführt. Die Ergebnisse werden in eine Datenbankdatei integriert und in COLMAP importiert. Zusätzlich wird die Kamerakonstante für jede Kamera mittels Fluchtpunkterkennung geschätzt. Als innovativen Initialisierungsschritt verwendet die vorgeschlagene Methode D2-Net-Merkmalspunkte, die für jedes historische Bild berechnet und mit Hilfe des Mutual Nearest Neighbour Matchers mit festen Schwellwert zugeordnet werden. Insbesondere die Extraktion und die zuverlässige Zuordnung von Merkmalspunkten ist eine Herausforderung. Herkömmliche SfM-Lösungen scheitern jedoch oft bei der Orientierung von historischen Bildpaaren, die große radiometrische und geometrische Unterschiede vorweisen.
